Premium Dog Food
Our premium, home-made dog food contains Highland or Aberdeen Angus beef from our farm, fresh vegetables (many grown here), pasta or rice, and natural vitamins and minerals. All beef is suitable for human consumption.
The calcium – an important component of a dog’s nutrition – is made from the shells of our own Black Rock chicken eggs. We clean, dehydrate, and grind the shells into a fine powder here on the farm.
The dog food is packaged in a 1.5 kg plastic tub and is shipped frozen. Once thawed, a tub will feed a mid-size dog four to six meals and is formulated for maintenance diets.
Our Premium Dog Food earned a “Highly Commended” in the 2004 Waitrose Small Producers Award. When sending us this award, we were told, “our panel of discerning dogs certainly enjoyed tasting the samples.”
